What we collect

To produce an estimate: your vehicle's VIN or year/make/model, its condition answers, mileage and ZIP code. Estimates run without an account stay anonymous.

If you create an account: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a secure hash), plus an optional ZIP code. Estimates and reports you view while signed in are saved to your account.

If you request offers: photos of the vehicle and its pickup address — buyers bid sight-unseen from exactly this information.

If you buy a report: payment is handled entirely by Service First Processing, our payment processor. Your card number never touches our servers; we keep only the payment confirmation.

We also keep standard technical logs (a hashed IP address, timestamps) to prevent abuse.

To measure our ads: the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), records the pages you view and a few actions on the site — seeing an estimate, starting checkout, buying a report and its price, creating an account and requesting offers — along with your browser, device and IP address. It can also collect scrambled (hashed) copies of details you type into our forms, such as your email address, name, phone number or ZIP code, so Meta can match the visit to a Meta account.

How we use it

Vehicle and condition details calculate your estimate and improve our pricing. Your email and phone are used to sign you in, to send the one-time verification codes you request, and to let buyers reach you about a vehicle you asked for offers on. Ad measurement data tells us which of our ads bring people to the site and which lead to purchases.

Who we share it with

Licensed vehicle buyers — only when you submit a request for offers, and only what they need to bid and complete a purchase: the vehicle details, photos, pickup location and your contact information.

Service providers that run the site — Service First Processing for payments, Google Analytics for aggregate usage statistics, an SMS carrier to deliver verification codes, and cloud storage for the photos you upload. Each receives only what its job requires.

Meta — the ad measurement data described above, so we can see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to visits and purchases. Meta handles it under its own privacy policy and may also use it to decide which ads to show you on its apps.

We don't sell your personal information or hand it to marketers, and we don't contact you about anything other than the vehicle you submitted.

Location

If you allow the browser location prompt, we use your position once to prefill your ZIP code. Your coordinates are not stored.

Cookies, analytics & ads

We set one session cookie to run the estimate flow, keep you signed in and protect the site from abuse. Google Analytics sets its own cookies so we can see how the site is used in aggregate — how many visitors arrive and which steps they reach. The Meta Pixel sets advertising cookies so we can measure which of our ads lead to visits and purchases; these can link your visit here to your activity on Meta's apps.

Blocking these cookies in your browser, or using an ad blocker, doesn't affect anything on the site. To limit how Meta uses activity from other websites, use your Meta ad preferences and the Your activity off Meta technologies setting.

Your choices

You can use the site without an account. To delete your account and its saved vehicles, reports and photos, contact us below and we'll remove them.
